Check the online status of ENEMY players

Did you know that you can check wether a player of the opposing faction is online/offline?
All you have to do it type /invite <enemy players name>
If the enemy player is offline, you will get a message saying "Could not find bla bla bla"
But the interesting part is that if he is online, you will get a message saying "Target is unfriendly".
Could be useful for checking wether that annoying elemental plateu ganker is online or not

No you cant. It will just say 0 players found regardless if he is offline / online.
And who cant /who enemy players to begin with, so even IF that worked you'd have to stand next to him and he'd have to say something.

There is a better way for this. But cost one extra account. But I have 2 accounts because I use two at the same time all time.

Just make one character in the other side faction, and use software called keyclone (cost $10 or so) and everything you type in WoW1 will be typed in WoW2. So /who *whatever-name* and you'll get info about where that guy is. Good against stealthers that just ganked you or something. Not an exploit but still useful if you do have 2 accounts anyway. Expensive if you get another account for only this. I usally run some /who (opposite big city) to see if there is any hostile in my town I'm in, if there is I ask them for invite and know exactly where they are if they accept and I go there with my other lvl 70 and gank them. :P

well, you can always add them to friendlist too, if it says they are offline, they are, if it says "Can only add players of the same faction" they are online. Quite old.

Yep it's a shame I didnt check with you before I made this post.
I thought the search function was enough but apparently not.
