I have made an account after doing a few tests and I can confirm the mail does still come back when mailing to characters that had kept their original name and are on unmerged accounts. If you botted back in a day like crazy, it shouldn't be that hard to find a few characters that still exist. Although I can't know for sure if the mail will be duplicated in 30 days, I find it still worth trying. If someone needs characters to mail over to and attempt this whole dupe thing I will be posting some of which I had remembered and tested with on European servers.

Just want to say that I have done some testing on Silvermoon and Draenor - nothing extreme but everything sent ended up coming back to the mailbox. I would also like to add that I have a few characters that are for my private and own personal use (old as fuck accounts from tbc) and it seems not many here have been able to do the exploit correctly and have many misconceptions about it. The mail returning time isn't always constant and can't be solely judged by it. For example if someone posted a character that was banned from a merged account, they wouldn't get their mail returned obviously, but even when doing it with banned characters from unmerged accounts the mail return time seems to never be the same. It ranges from anywhere from a few seconds and the maxnI've experienced was 15 minutes. Also there could be a visual bug which prevents your mail from showing up, so relogging after sending it may be a good idea. Hope I have shed some light on this whole situation. Best of luck
