WOWHEAD posts "Infinite Stygia Exploit Discovered in Maw"
Fixed and actions taken against exploiters
From Wowhead news article, may be posted elsewhere.
The following two mobs drop stygia but does not accumulate the Eye of the Jailor.
* Resonant Misery in the River of Souls.
* Maw Roach Hatchling in a cave located at (47, 76) in the Beastwarrens, stepping on eggs will spawn Maw Roach Hatchling.
Farming these could allow you to accumulate stygia albeit at a slow rate.
Wowhead says "Be warned, farming Stygia in extreme amounts without incurring Eye of the Jailer is likely considered an Exploit and may be reprimanded by Blizzard".

Edit
January 4th Hotfixes - Resonant Misery no longer drops Stygia.
Not logged in yet to see if the Maw Roach Hatchling has been nerfed.

Anyone find a way to make the hatchlings hyperspawn?

Gaining Player Power will most likely be a perma ban.
Not sure tho :P

Actions has been taken against those who participated in the "Infinite Stygia" Exploit.
These players have received a short suspension, their exploitive Stygia has been removed and also received a global reduction to all Conduit ranks on the character, likely based on the severity of the offense.
1-day suspension and -1 to all Conduit levels, and exploitive stygia gains removed.
3-day suspension and -2 to all Conduit levels, and exploitive stygia gains removed.
7-day suspension and -3 to all Conduit levels, and exploitive stygia gains removed.
