You cast abilities from mount, untill you hit the floor.

As title says, you can cast abilities such as hearthstone, hex, polymorph, or whatever if you cast it right from the flying mount.
It seems to be working only on "cast" abilities, not in channeling ones (since that ones get stopcasted after ~1.5s).

Maybe you can find some cool uses on it, specially as mage or shaman, hehe.

Also, It could be working with the net-o-matic 5000, haven't tested yet.
I don't know if that existed before 9.0.x, but now it is happening.

EDIT: ACTUALY THIS IS INSANE; You can Mind control targets, and your toon will still be suspended in the air.

What he means is that if you cast a spell with a cast time while mounted, you will be dismounted and the cast will complete. So for example you can fly high up into the air, cast hearthstone, you will be dismounted but provided you don't hit the ground the cast will complete and you will port to your hearth location. This can also be done with spells or things like net-o-matic, though make sure you have some kind of slowfall to avoid fall damage/death.

You don't have to cancel your mount with /dismount.

Just fly (to a safe distance), and use any spell that is not a channel and it will be casted untill you hit the floor.

Forgot to mention, that you can't cast the spell while moving, so you need to be stopped and not press any movement key before and while casting the ability.

That's a setting in the options.
Interface > Controls > Auto Dismount in Flight.

So just to reiterate for those who are a bit confused on the instructions:

If you go into the options and enable Interface>Control> Auto Dismount in Flight

When you are mounted and use a spell or item with a cast, it will dismount you but continue to cast any spell/item as you are falling.
