Mechagon Irradiated Undercoat - Skip waiting 5 days, (almost) instant pet
The time magic of Elisande in Nighthold also affects the Irradiated Undercoat from Mechagon, which usually has a 1 day cooldown and needs to be used 5 times before it spawns Irradiated Elementaling.
1. Equip the shirt (just to make sure)
2. Get to Nighthold (any difficulty) and start the Elisande fight.
3. Have her change the phase while standing in a time speed bubble. (The coat will now say ~25 days cooldown while time is frozen)
4. Cooldown on the Irradiated Undercoat will now be permanently reduced.
5. Repeat or die, so you can do it more than once.
6. Wait out any rest time, use the coat with some isotopes (getting them from the rig is repeatable)
It probably also effects other such items, drop me some credit if you find something else worthwhile based on this.
That is all.

Damn that's good.
I've been hearing stuff about that fight since it was current tier but I've never been able to find an exploit I could consistently reproduce.

I dont understand. Do we use the coat during the encounter?

No luck, maybe it is fixed. I get the CD changed to 25days but it reverts correctly to its original cooldown.

It usually lands between 3 and 6 hours. Right enough time to get some new isotopes.
So, the exploit works as described?
You don't have to wait 5 full days, maybe 15 to 30 hours instead for a full turnover?

Evidently not.

From
To
Notice Elisande being alive in the first screenshot and dead in the second.
Steps taken as described, result is a permanent reduction of the cooldown on the item to take home.
Exploit still works, you owe me an Accursed Keepsake for the time.

This is the little difference between what the initial post says and what you demonstrate with your screenshots. A PERMANENT reduction implies it works for all remaining charges, not just one. Yet so far it seems in order to permanently have the low cooldown, I need to use this method up to four times. I think thats an important detail.

Yes, I see now how that isnt accurate. I`ll edit it.

Permanent as in the cooldown stays lowered after leaving nighthold, not that the lowered cooldown persists through usage. To claim it implies that it would last over other charges is preposterous, as I can't recall a single item ever having it's cooldown altered in that way, while there are numerous ocassions of a cooldown being reset or lowered through the use of exploits.
If you also take a look at step #5 "5. Repeat or die, so you can do it more than once." it's clearly implied that this process will have to be repeated, not that it's one and done affecting all charges.

All Im suggesting is adding a tiny detail for clarification.

I thought to add the step about repeating the encounter to note that it has to be done for each cooldown.
I said it's a permanent change, but that is meant in contrast to a change that is reverted once the time flow in the encounter is set back to normal.
I did not consider adding a note explaining that it will not change the item itself, because it is unheard of and maybe simply impossible.
