The Thousand Boat Bash micro-event is coming our way.
While micro-holidays are often useless for the main game, this one isn't.
It grants you a powerful boat that moves faster than a flying mount and cancels any fall damage.
It is very fun, but sadly it only lasts for a week... under normal circumstances.





This boat is an incredible boost for leveling, island expeditions and most content from Kul Tiras.
The only downside is that it breaks if you take damages, making it hard to use in area like Nazmir or for PvP.
To obtain it, you must do World quests in the Thousand Needles; they will give you components to make your boat.
You'll need a Mainsail, Waxy Reeds, a Rigging Rope and a Ship Mast, as well as 20 Submarine Tar.
With all these items you're now able to assemble your own boat!.. But these components will disappear at the end of the event.
So how can you make it last more than a week?

Well, the key is... Having full bags.



You see, If you do the world quest with your bags full, all your components will be sent in your mailbox for a month.
You just need to make sure you don't take them unless you want to assemble your boat as they would disappear after disconnection.
Note that the boat isn't bound to you, you can share it with anyone you want.
You'll need to do the event with several characters if you want it for 40 days, but it doesn't take too long.

I still have some exploits to post here before I can get my award! I'm making sure the title is secured, otherwise you might get it yourself!

Sadly this is not the case! The boat components aren't actually eligible for restoration, only the final boat is... And much to my regret, its timer doesn't reset.
I tried to keep mine last year for the launch of BFA, but as I clicked on the boat the item disappeared.
I was able to convince a GM that it was a bug and have him give it to me, it gave some me time to experiment and organize boat races.

I can tell you that this expansion is much better with player boats, it's really a missed opportunity on Blizzards part.

Sorry for the double-post, but I found a related exploit.



When your feet touches the land, the boat is coded to disappear.
Nevertheless, there is a little lag that creates a short window of opportunity where you can jump again.
With perfect timing, you can theoricaly jump indefinitely at a crazy speed.
