A Guy from my guild has been getting messages that hes getting reported because he got his loot.. and he whispered a GM about this and an hour later he got a message by a gm with a link and stuff to change his name..

This might be a way to change ur name :P

Maybe hes just lucky :P

Kind of the same thing happened to me way back in like november when the game came out... i had non-standard characters in my name and the GM's auto-changed it to some crappy random name. Then they sent me links via email where i could send a request for a name change... i sent two emails requesting a name change and got nothing so i'm not 100% how there system works.
They have you send an email where you put your character name server and a numbered list of 5 preferred names in which you would like to be changed to. I did this TWICE and i got nothing.... if you would like i could try to find the email address of their name change service.

im not sure about changing your name but my friend took his name from his lvl 42 pally and moved to his 60 warrior i thought it was kidan kool i would change it but then ppl whouldnt know who i was when i owned them in bg

my name was bobdylann on agamaggan (60 pally), i told a GM i was being harrassed from my name and being called a hippie. sometimes couldnt get a party because of it. (total bull****) and i got to change my name to jefrydahmers

What about Michho ? Can i be harrassed from someone for that name? any suggestions? I rly need to change my name =( thx in advice

Mich, i think what you need to do is get a fiend or go no another account of yours if you have one and report your name for example because it has the word "ho" in it and the GMs may have you change your name but idk really /shrug

you could also try saying that people on your realm think your a ninja and you cant get a party or a guild with that name

I and my friends have been able to change our names with a much different method, for quite some time.

1. Delete your character (the one you want to change)
2. Don't freak out about step 1, lol. (They have backups)
3. Have a friend create a character with the same name.
4. Contact a GM and tell them that you accidentally deleted your character, thinking you were deleting one of your alts (use common sense here by creating an alt before-hand)
5. The GM will go to restore the character, but will not be able to restore it with the original name.....your friend has it.
6. The GM should now instruct you to change your name on your next login.

There you go.

Here's another way, but u have to start when u make a character, so it really doesn't help that much.
1.Make a character with a bad name (youhavebigbut)
2. Whisper a GM and say that u think ur name is offensive and would like to change it.
3. BAM they give u stuff to change it, link or watev

Well one time my name (Demonkunga) got reported for being un RP .. and they made me change it, i logged in and was able to make a new name. Then im like, **** this, and emailed them saying, how the ****ing is Demonkunga not RP? so they changed it back for me
