Dupe/roll back method that may work.

Well our guild name: Get Off Our Nuts-- got banned.

But the real story is:
We rolled back.

I'm pretty sure it CAN work, and this would be a possible method. You will need participants in and out of the guild. Basically what happens is: when your guild name is getting changed they give you a warning and shortly after they take everyone in the guild off-line and when you log back on the guild name will be changed.

1.) Make a guild name that will obviously get banned, and get half of the dupers in the guild(the other half will obviously not be in the guild).

2.) Either have friends report your guild name, or just wait(however you want to).

3.) The part that needs more testing: When they give you the warning message(we were online for approx 30 seconds after the message was received by every guild member), start giving items/gold to your friends. Maybe if you give them it in 50g incriminates or something until you get kicked off there would be a better chance of actually handing gold off when the rollback is occurring.(or if there is a better known method of dealing with rollbacks, insert it here, i have never actually done research)

Dont think this would work. When they kick all the members offline it'll save at that moment as your being kicked not disconnected.

But the theroy is sound.

Shvaak; Basiclly when you get disconnected by the server by not loggin out timing out ect... ie when server crashes everything you done before the last world save/ player save will be undone.
Current way to do this (If its not been fixed by now) Is bugged loots. sometimes you'll be stuck in the looting mode, if you can quickly transfer some gold/items to someone then there's achance that when you get disconnected you'll be rolled back to the point before you got disconnected therefore still having the gold/items that you transfered to you friend and they will also still have what you transfered therefore doubling up on what was traded. Also known as duping.

This could actually work. You get a roll-back when you have to change a character name aswell. If someone can confirm that this dupe method works, this could be the best christmas ever!

There was something along these lines awhile ago but it involved having an volgor name and reporting to a GM for them to get it changed. and transferring 1000g etc.. it was hot fixed tho.

Only problem is sometime when you have a bad guild name you see the warning then get an instant disconnect. I know because my friend has recently decided to drag me into some of his guilds with not the best names.

well the one with changing names cuase of a bad name wont work... since if u get reported for it, its a bigger chance u will get banned rather than name change... =)

There have been several methods to force a rollback, but the basic problem is still not resolved. You are saved immediately when you perform any action relating to an item that moves it to another player, the AH, the mail, etc. Thus your rollback will happen only up till that point.
