So you want to put snowflakes on yourself but it won't let you?

I was in Shattrath and didn't see any alliance around so I targeted a guard and tried to put snowflakes on him. Instead, it put it on myself. Probably works with the holly also.

LOL epic failure for thread, you can easily put the snowflakes
on yourself. Just target yourself (press your portrait) then click
the snowflakes, and VOILA you have put them on yourself.
