Keeping mounts from bnet-bnet migration

Does this only work with battle.net accounts with the same names for migration? otherwise i dont really see a big deal in this?

So basically transfer the character (A)who LEARNED the specific mount.

Have the second character (B) on the same Bnet account, logged in.

When you transfer the character (A) to the new account (C) the mounts/chieves stay on old account and are learned on new.


Isn't there certain rules like it can only go to an account with the same last name?

What does it matter for the characters to be both 110? Doesn't make sense. Isnt it enough to be just as high level to be able to learn the mounts like 80?
And what about the same last name rule? ........

That's pretty brutal. In my case I will need to level to 110/120 first to test this it seems as I only have low-level alts on the side accounts I got.

naw, did everything by the books and it didnt work. Not sure what the OP did to get Ashes of Alar over, but it certainly didnt work for my mounts.

I was mounting the mount on my 2nd acc on my primary bnet, while transferring my primary char from the primary acc to ANOTHER bnet.

Ugh, you never said anything about being mounted in the OP. I wonder if this had something to do with it.

And youre 100% sure that the mount spell is in your collections tab? Reason I ask is that normally the achievement for the mount will follow but no mount will.

Also, if you dismount does it allow you to remount? I've moved chars which are mounted before transfer and keep the mount once complete but once you dismount you cannot get it back (as the actual mount spell isn't in your collections tab).
