Gamebreaking Pet Battle Glitch, Potentially Huge Profits/Almost Instant Pet Levelling

Instructions:

1.Go to the pet store in Dalaran.
2 Buy as many pet treats as you can. You will need pet charms to do this.
3. Split'n'stack the charms in your inventory.
4. Apply them to any pet.

The pet treats stack using this method allowing you to level battle pets from 1-25 very fast
, maybe even instantly if you have enough treats. Boosted pets sell for a significant premium
on the AH.

That said, it doesn't affect the basic method which is quite a money-maker.

It seems like the only limit on the number of treat buffs you can have at once would be bag slots. Even then it would probably be overkill.

Yeah I think you'd probably insta-level two level 1's with around a 100 pet charms, well within bag limits, so that would probably be the cap.

Well it is triple pet experience, so it helps you level pets fast.

It doesn't impact on the exploit as much as you'd think though, because the pet treats only boost base pet xp not the bonus xp.

It was well worthwhile doing this before pet battle week-but the point is probably moot as I doubt it will last the week.

Confirmed fixed. Please DON'T waste pet charms on this, its gone.

This is still actually still a really good money-maker during pet battle weekend even without the exploit (just sold a 16 Mech Dragonling for 30K above what I paid for it)
but the exploit is no more.

Sad to see it fixed so soon, but then again Blizzard does keep high watch for your exploits Archvaldor.

I would've done this myself but I felt extremely lazy to get the pet charms. Maybe next time. Though, I wonder what other exploits there are that have to do with buff stacking... Lightblood is way expensive for anyone to even be doing it, I've been trying to find more but no luck.

They let the rogue thing go on for a long time so I thought this would last at least a few days.

There is at least one buff stacking exploit (for twinks) that's been in the game since vanilla. I'm sure there's lots of other stuff.

I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but the buffs you stacked even though they were visible, were not stacking on themself. You can verify it just by buying the treat next time the pet leveling event is on, you will still get the amount of experience with just one buff (I think there are 2 types of treats increasing pet exp but I don't remember too much now). I know it from my experience, there are guides made specially for leveling pets during the bonus exp event with the draenor garrison pet quest (the girl with diablo like pets), where just 4 or 5 pet battles resulted in max level.

And if you actually think about it, gaining 35 of the buffs at the same time would result in maximum level after 1 battle, since you still need to go for 4 or 5 pet battles for max level, its just a waste of pet tokens. I mean, you level 1-13 > 13-19 > 19> around 22-23? And then either to 24 or 25 if I'm not mistaken, right? The same way it worked for garrison power leveling.

You are right to be sceptical: it is very, very easy to confuse a visual with an actual buff, even (perhaps especially) for veteran exploiters. For this reason I test things very thoroughly.

If you look at the comments below the video you will see a number of people raised the same issues you did. You will also see that several people (including the guy that raised the issue) subsequently tested it and found the effect to be real. Something which was very confusing, pet treats raise your base xp: not the total amount inclusive of bonuses, consequently while your math is accurate it is working on an incorrect assumption caused by poor communication on Blizzard's part (this is stated nowhere).

That said this is all very theoretical/historical now: the play is dead as Adam Sandler's career.
