Tested in EU with a few characters that were created between 2011 and 2014 and it worked!

Update - Patch 6.2 still works! (20/08/2015)

Bought it from the same vendor. Are you on US or EU? Maybe you had the achi from before?

I did search before posting, no results found. Perhaps it was taken away, or perhaps it started working with patch 6.1 (since there are people on wowhead that say they obtained this item and were not awarded with an achievement, so who knows).

It's not a big exploit but for achievement collectors I think it will be fairly useful
