Harrison Jones for an alt w/o the quests

You seem retarted, I have Harrison too and I can track it, just like you, because I don't have the second part of that achievment.

I guess one of us doesn't know what they are talking about, I just tried tracking the achievement on the character than earned it through normal means and got an error saying "This achievement has already been completed."

Worked EU for two alts. +rep

I opened 3 clients, set all settings to minimum and addons all off then logged one after another on each client (Each login would boot the previous alt and had them all in garrison just in case) and finished with my main last who turned in the quest. Got the follower after a while on the other two.


P.S. first time doing quest.

Confirmed working, got it on 4 characters on 2 accounts ( 2 on each acc) at the same time.
Logged in on an alt on each acc, DC'd myself on both accouns by logging onto main char(with quest ready to hand in ) on main acc and alt nr.3 on alt acc.
Turned in quest immedietly as 3rd alt and main char was online: got harrison on all 4 chars.
One of the characters was a lvl 91 that hadn't activated missions yet, so the only follower I have on that char is harrison jones (lvl 100) and I have 2 lvl 100 missions available that I cant start since I don't have any more followers on that char.

Edit: yes this was the first time I did this achievment on my battle.net account.

This is just given to every character that is online. It's not intended by design, but the bug has been around since the start of MoP. They fixed CM's and stuff, but seems they didn't address the core of the issue, and focus on fixing specific rewards.

How you do this by getting it on a single account is just disconnecting yourself, making the server believe you're still online.
If you have multiple accounts under the same Battle.net, then just log all of them and turn in the quest. I got 5 Harrison followers by doing 1 quest, and that was before this thread was posted. I doubt they'll fix it for just this quest. If anything, they'll most likely start looking at the real issue that is causing this. It's been around for 2 expansions now. And having Harrison, is no major gain for your character or anything. It just speeds up leveling new followers. When you have all followers at 675 and all of your missions are 100% success chance, then this follower is completely useless, because his mentor trait cannot be changed, removing one potential buff that could have been useful.

I just have Harrison out once a week to do 2 missions with, so the recruit from the inn turns 100, then I deactivate him again. I think I have enough armor and weapon upgrades to gear 50 more followers to 675. :P

As some others have mentioned above, this can be achieved only the first time, you complete Harrison Jones's unlocking achievement on your battle.net account. Similar mechanics with the CM "sharing" between multiple wow licenses in single battle.net account, obviously.

Actually it works TWICE for each battle.net. Once for your first Horde character and once for your first Alliance and from what my roomate and i found this is when it will work.

Basically on a bnet account it will work once per faction but only with toons from the same faction.

I was able to obtain him on 3 toons by switching clients really quick using this exploit, thanks!

Tried this X-Faction, got the achievement but didnt get the follower.
And by X-faction I mean I completed quest on my Horde character and tried to get Harrison Jones on my alliance Alt.

Was able to get Harrison Jones on two alts with this method. I tried for three but the first was signed out too quickly.
