Exactly. You have to redo it until a mob spawns. Make sure to not actually loot the herbs from the plants , just the ones from the mobs.

Nope , since you get 100% of the Resources / Gold back that you spent on the upgrade upon cancel

How do you downgrade? Because I try hitting cancel after upgrading and click okay, but it won't cancel it.

Tested and confirmed, but it looks like you don't even have to do anything with the upgrade. Just pick each herb, not looting anything from them and kill any mobs that spawn and loot their corpses. After you have picked each plant, they will disappear after about 30-35 seconds, but then respawn after another 20 seconds, and you can wash, rinse, repeat after that.

It appears that if you loot anything from the herbs, even just a seed from one of them, and don't loot the other herbs, after they disappear, they will not respawn, so make sure not to loot anything from any of the plants.

Edit: Dont do this.... You will loose more then you gain omg.. all herbs disapeared after awhile to never come back and only managed to get 3 mobs. I want my rep back ;(

dont even try this, eventually your herbs will dissapear even when looting nothing
