Blacksmithing sockets?

i switched from blacksmithing to engineering 1-2 days ago and i still have my sockets on my gloves/bracers with jc gems in it.
afaik... sockets should be gone when the profession is gone?

i couldnt find something here about this on the forums so i thought i might share it.
its pretty minor tho even if its considered as exploit at all.

the bonuses are lost after dropping the profession, even tho the sockets are still displayed!
