Anti - deserter exploit

I cannnot confirm this just yet. But if you log out while in a bg log back in and then /afk out i think you can leave the bg without the deserter tag. Let me know if anyone can confirm this.

Edit: I didnt fully log out as in go to log in screen. But i logged out to char sheet and went back in then /afk'd and got deserter

i usually press alt f4. wait a minute or two while logging in as a different character. Then back in as the one in the BG. and when I log back in I will be out of the BG and have no deserter buff.

ooooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrr what u could do is just logout for 5mins
(even if ur in a bg or have deserter outside) then log back in and u will either be out of the bg with no deserter or standing where u loged out with no deserter.

ya it is confirmed. works for me. fully log out then log back in and type /afk and your back to home base with no tag

You will not get deserter if you exit the game during BG and then log back in about 8 minutes later and you are out. With the way the rest of you are explaining you will and should get deserter.

how bout this??? 2 min BG exploration on your own...

1. get 2 comps with WoW
2. when in a BG right b4 the battle ends log on to ur account but dont log into ur character
3. leave then log in
4. when you log in the battle will be over and youll still be in the BG able to move... tried this b4 lol... thought battle was still going and when i checked no1 was there then i saw that the BG was over...

Just unplugg the router or w/e you have and get dc, log back in.
Your out and you ain't deserter.
