Soak Static Shock on Lei Shen with Demonic Gateway

Hi guys, okay i don't know if it was already posted but there is a trick to soak Static Shock on Lei Shen HM
(i think it could work too in normal mode)
I know there's no theories allowed on this forum but I did it one time and i couldn't do it again because we killed LS on the next try.

Static Shock - Spell - World of Warcraft

So we were in transition phase, all members were placed to manage the abilities on each platforms,
On my platform there is a gate from our warlock to make "Helm of Command" easier.
Someone died so we were wiping, then I got "Static Shock" on myself and i decided to run away from other to die faster but 1sec before the debuff ended i clicked on the gate and the static shock exploded when i was traveling to the other side of the gate but i had no damage at all (i was alone and had no cd's on me)

Even if some classes can soak it with special abilities i think it could be useful for other people.
Sorry if i have no more details (and for the bad english) but i did it just one time, i wanted to retry but we killed the boss :'(
I can't prove it happened but i assure you i was supposed to die (it makes 1M damage) but i didn't
(i checked combat log and there was no "Static Shock" damage)
So i wanted to spare this trick with you after all. hope it's working all the time.

working as intended.. U can skip a whole minute of the Kanrethad Encounter if u manage to use gateway properly to reset the cast of the doom spell..
Smart way of using the gateway, more of a guide imo, but still good... have some of my rep! xD

working as intended.. ? wtf , how can be intended to skip boss mechanic .

Anyway i tried it yesterday (9.9.2013) and its not working (atleast on EU) . Died in air right between gates to static shock .

Tried it multiple times yesterday and the day before. Never worked, still took damage.

There's people who just go round posting "Working as intended lol" To literally every exploit there is.

I'm not really sure why.
