I might have made a new small yet cool discovery for those who don't have the blizzard bear companion from the 4th anniversary

It's seems like the fire beetles in burning steps especially the ones near the entrance to black- depths have a visual bug that appear as blizzard bears

Open dieing the critter seems to turn in a real fire beetle again so it's probably just a visual effect error. Still it's cool cause others can see your fire beetle also as a bear if your lucky enough to find one to capture ( took me around 1hour to find one that was tamable)

B) Where did you find a catchable fire beetle in burning steppes? I see them as regular, unbattle-able critters in the entrance (not glitched visually for me at least). And they're not listed as catchable in that zone, Searing Gorge being the closest alternative.

C) What server were you on?

Yes Searing Gorge is the best place from my analyses but my first encounter was in the cave close to the entrance of the dungeon, but then again that one was a non tamable critter but it was the one that made trigger the rough search in those areas.

As for pictures I don't know exactly why their still pending but probably by morning they will be approved hopefully

I would bet almost anything that what you saw was a result of a bored mage using these two glyphs: Glyph of Crittermorph, Glyph of the Bear Cub.

Looks like Glyph of Bear Cub and Crittermorph, also you can just rename pets to whatever. So either this guy is trolling us or there is some bug when using Crittermorph

Clearing the cache and checking again may help.
