rules of what is exploits and what to post/discuss in here?

I was wondering.. what are the exploits that are being used here and what should be posted here? I am thinking of those exploits that you can trigger via encrypted packets, calling functions etc.Whould those also be posted here? are there anyone doing these exploits in this forum? If not,, why not? there is a handful exxploits that can be done by using the games normal funcitons, but by sendeng the games commands whenever , wherevr you want.. the xplooits found are massivly increased. Just saying. /zowex

ps. xscuse my grammar, from sweden

Exploits posted here are methods in which you can do things that are not intended with only the game and macros.
No external programs except maybe a lag creator.

Like the pandaren exploit in which they could get out of pandaland.
It used game mechanics and no other programs.

As thunder said, exploits allowed here are just these using some sort of ingame mechanic or lag-tool.
Exploits using some 3rd party program (as CheatEngine etc..) aren´t really an exploits and cound get people banned even faster.

So really.. posting something using any kind of program (like example farming something with flyhack) is pointless posting here.

But IMO it varies from potential and accessibility.

I think what you're looking for is this: WoW Memory Editing
There's an even deeper forum as well that you'll get handpicked for it if you perform well enough.

    [no questions]

    xD

Exploits are defined as "anything to give unfair advantage over another player."
the only exception to that is Visual exploits, that just make you look damn cool.

As far as "What is an exploit" goes, the answer has already been given in this thread. An exploit is simply a clever use of game mechanic that ends up giving a result not predicted by the programmers that made World of Warcraft.

As to what we discuss in this sub-board of the site, there are rules and codes we all follow. Or correction, we all must abide by the rules, but the "codes" not so much. As you might be able to see from the index of the Exploit forum, the vast majority of threads here are exploits that does not target other players. Exploits that does not abuse fellow players.

I wrote a reply to this thread: http://www.ownedcore.com/forums/worl...ml#post2560530 (Easy Valor Points + 463 Items.)
The thread proposes an exploit that basically leaves 2 people left doing your scenario, because you yourself can leave and still get the rewards, if the two people left in there actually finishes it. This was my reply to the thread, and one person defending the exploitation of other players:

Your complete failure in personifying other players might allow you to continue playing with a object oriented view towards the other players of this game, but for some people, me included, this is where the line gets drawn between where an exploit is okay, and where its not.

This site has been built on the principle that blizzards game include flaws. These flaws sometimes comes in handy for us in ways blizzard did not think off whilst designing their implementations. It is up to every one of us to decide if we want to utilize the flaws we find, or not so.

As this thread goes to prove, the vast majority here is interested in the concept of these flaws, maybe even abusing them to some extent, but in most cases, abusing a bug in the game, and abusing the hard work of our fellow players, diverge into two different categories. Luckily for us, most of the people who use this site find themselves in the category of players that choose to acknowledge the flaws blizzard has, but choose to (ab)use these, with the fact that our fellow players are humans, in consideration. Of this I am thankful, because it makes the game possible to play.

If we were to let threads such as this flourish with acceptance and gratitude towards the people of our alternative category, those who ruthlessly abuse the game with no limitations, then the game would be broken. "Public play" such as Scenarios, LFR, Battlegrounds and Dungeons would as we know it not be possible. Perhaps you should keep this in consideration next time you decide to verbally demean someone based on their stand on an exploit.

If anything, I would promote the thought of considering what you are about to post next time, cooper101. Me taking the higher moral grounds in this issue is a choice I made. You defending the abuse of fellow players is a choice you made. In the end I guess there is nothing more to it, than the simple fact that we disagree.
Luckily, we don't have a whole lot of those kinds of threads flourish on the board. IF this was the case the game would be far more broken than it is today.
