BMAH Transmog Exploit

Hey everyone,

As you know, you can now buy Gear (e.g. Tier 3) on the BMAH. T3 doesn't have any class requirements on it, so you are possible to mogg it, even though you're not supposed to. (This will of course only work under the normal Transmog rules but you can still run around in T3 warrior gear as a Pally).

I thought the entire reason they put T3 on the ah was for transmog. Its my understanding you can transmog tier 1 even though it has a class requirement as well. I understand it doesn't say Class: Paladin etc. on it, but I'm pretty sure its still intended than any class that meets the armor requirement for transmog can do it.

I don't think it is intended, we'll see if Blizzard fixes it. If you guys think, it's not an exploit please move to guides.

Normally I'm the first one to criticize people saying "pointless" or "useless" but I really don't see any other reason why they'd offer T3 on BMAH BESIDES for xmog purposes.

It doesn't even belong in guides, it's just a generalized post.

Yano, you don't get the point. Everyone thinks e.g. Tier3 Druid is there to be mogged by Druids who haven't been able to obtain it or whatever. The fact, that you can mogg it as a Rogue or a Monk is something new, that none of the people I talked to realised.

60 twinks is the reason it's on the BMAH, NOT transmog. If they wanted people to use it only for transmog purposes they would have just made a BoP version of the Replicas without stats.

Its intended so you can get whatever skin you prefer.. Are people really this dumb?

Tier sets are only supposed to be transmogable to the class its intended for.

A Priest being able to use a Warlocks Tier for transmog would seem to be an exploit.

I think you're right, but can you explain to me why would twinks want pve gear ?
Aren't twink only dedicated to pvp ? Are there still some people/guilds left that play with vanilla rules on MoP servers ? I would be pretty happy if it was the case.

There are alot of people that raid with 60, 70, 80 characters.

We have 12-15 people in my guild that have 80 twinks doing ulduar. I've seen people looking for lvl 60 to Molten Core raids in trade chat several times.

bmah sets never got a class on it. not in beta not in future.

if u want a homo pala tier 3 set u are able 2 got it 4 ur warri oder dk too...

in one way i like the BMAH because i can finish my warriors t3 set but its gonna suck to see this armor and the arcanite ripper on new players now.

this is working as intended even my old legit 9/9 tier 3 no longer has class requirements on it

Because having a level 60 with full t3 is so insanely cool that i would gladly pay 300k per piece for a full set.
