A ingame "tool" to bypass invisible walls

Hi.

Searched but I couldnt find anything about this new item...

Some of you may remember the exploit with the Fishing Chair that allowed you to go thru invisible walls. Well you can do the same thing with Mushroom chair that can be purchased in moltenfront after completing the "Filling the moonwell" 125 mark quest.

@#$%$^ I WAS GONNA POST THIS TOO after watching your chair explorations i got a shroom chair hoping it would be exploitalbe in the same way

No, thats a different type of exploration. thats using mounts or size increasing stuff to get you though walls.

the fishing chair stuff works differntly.

with the mount-through walls you need a low overhang.

for the fishing chair stuff, you just need to run directly up to whatever your trying to get through and drop your chair.

Daffy, thanks for posting up my fishing chair video! Always nice to get a few more hits on that baby, and to be reminded of how I started in the WoW exploration scene.

+2 rep coming your way! It is great that you've found an in-game option. Of course, now I'll actually have to finish those Hyjal quests and get my ass into the Molten Front.

FYI to all... Blizzard has nerfed the chair quite a bit since I made that video. I haven't been able to get it to work on water (like the first wall in my video) in quite some time. It still works in many of those spots, but you have to be much more particular about where you place it now, or it just appears in front of the wall.

A little added information for this glitch... according to the wowhead entry I just read, OTHER PEOPLE can sit on the mushroom chair.

Only the caster can sit on the Fishing Chair, so this item would be even better, because you can take friends along with you on your explorations.

I am curious if the Mushroom Chair shares a cooldown with the Fishing Chair...

(PS - while this isn't 'mount-through-walls', I do think the thread should have been in Exploration, not Exploits)
(PPS - In my original thread for the Fishing Chair, linked above, "FatalPop" says that the Sandbox Tiger does not work in this way. He is incorrect, it does work like the Chair, as I prove in my SecondWorld video)

If it is anything like the fishing chair... then you can't use this on gates. It only works on certain walls, like cave tops, or curved tree branches going into trees, or mountains going into city walls, etc. Hard to explain what walls work and what ones do not... but I have yet to find a use (for the Fishing Chair) that gives you an advantage over another player.

Although it does get you onto the starting building roof in Arathi Basin (as shown in my vid), so I suppose that could be an advantage over others...

What I've discovered: The mushroom chair works on water. It will "sit" on top of the water if you're using a water walking potion/ability.
The mushroom chair does not allow you to get past the end of world barrier, sadly. I used it (albeit, once) at an area where water extends past the end of world barrier, and it simply spawned in bounds.

EDIT: The ability to use this somewhat like tall mounts in terms of phasing through ceilings too small for your character is plausible.

Heroic leap can go through a few invisible walls, like the one that keeps you away from the pit Alyzrazor comes out of. The issue with the mushroom chair as far as I can tell is that it spawns UNDER you rather than infront of you.

This just in: The mushroom chair will get you through the gates into Tol Barad during the 15(?) minuites before the battle while the gates are closed XD

Of course it does... but it won't get you through invisible walls while on water, like it did in my first video. That usage has been nerfed with all chairs, as I stated previously...

hm maybe it's just dwarves, or that I was trying it next to walls.
