[Zul'Gurub] Massive dps as a mage

Yes, I know 4.1 hasn't hit yet, but I've ran ZG at least 4 different PTR patches and this has always been allowed to happen. About 3 mini patches ago, they added a new trash mob to ZA/ZG called Zandalaran Juggernauts. They have a self buff that allows their melee attacks to proc earthquakes. This procs pretty often afaik as a tank, too.

The exploit (I'm going to call it this because it's obviously not supposed to be this powerful) is for the mage to spell steal the buff he has. There's usually one in the pulls before Bloodlord. The most efficient use of this buff is to stand right behind the boss and start auto attacking, once it procs, it will leave an earthquake under the boss and you can go back to your normal rotation. It lasts about 15 seconds and if your auto attack is on, you will automatically melee following any cast, so you should constantly have earthquakes under the desired mob.

The quake ticks for ~20-25k/second, so it's a great addition to your dps rotation on any given boss.

Take this how you will, I know it's ptr and subject to change, but I have a feeling it will go live soon and this hasn't been changed in recent weeks.

Actually it says that Earthquake lasts for 15 seconds... not the buff.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say it lasts 2 minutes max, just saying.

5-8 yard radius, 15 second duration on quake, 2 minute duration on buff.

Sounds intended to me. They like to keep something magestealable in many raids. Like the old 300% casting speed buff from za, etc.

Anyone that has been playing for long enough, know that blizz watches sites like this and that little tattle tale kids like to suck up to blizz by posting stuff like this on the forums because some mage kicked their ass on dps because of this buff and hes all butt hurt.

I really wish people didn't post PTR exploits. The more you hold off on posting them before they go live, the less you have to worry about it getting fixed. That's what a PTR is for...

But yeah, if it does go live my mage is gonna love this.
