Portals/Death Gate etc in BGs?

Hey, so I tried using Death Gate in every battleground in World of Warcraft. Ofcourse, it did not work.

Wait? What's this? It seems it does work!

Yes. Did you know that if you used a Death Gate before the battle has started, it'll work?

I have not tried this with portals yet as I don't have a mage anymore, but my Death Knight is fine with Death Gates before the battle starts.

Pictures were taken only in AV as it's the only Screenshots I got.

You can use plenty of spells before the game starts which are disabled after, such as dual spec, portals, death gates, but as death gates go only you can use your death gate and you don't really want to port out...so it's pretty useless.

I could is sworn other death knights could use your death gate... and portals can get other people outside the BG... or that little hole thing that you get at brewfest... people click any of those they get ported out.

My arena partner used this is arena to dodge kite a noob paladin. Just to have fun with him. So it was for some use. I think its cool , havent tried if you can actually use them to portal out though during an arena fight, but if you can, that might be a big downside xD

dropping a gate in front of a flag in ab for example, some dude rides up notices the dg there and for a brief moment (0.3 secs) is liek wtf and hovers over the dg, that small amount of time can lead to the difference on preventing his cap and possibly win your team the match, which everyone knows even just 0.1 sec can be gamebreaking in pvp, granted its not the greatest of exploits but it is still infact an exploit with multiple applications and shouldnt be dismissed nor the op griefed about it.

my bad i miss read the op, thought he was getting at saying if its used before the gates open, u can use it anytime in bg, i should have a coffee before reading posts in the future methinks
