Seems useless....when you finish killing that boss, you have to clear the trash that you skipped anyway.

No you don't, you can port out, and back in, then go through the reg way.

Not at all, if you don't port back out theres 2 trash packs in the hall/platform behind the croc, if you port out and go back in theres 2 packs at the base of the stairs right before you jump, either way you're clearing pretty much the same amount of trash.
