Farming Savage Leather

In Wetlands / Menethil Harbour, near the docks is several Sharks of lv22~ range,
which you can skin and apparently they have semi decent droprate while skinning for
Savage Leather and Deepsea Scales, which both are mats for Cata-leatherworking items.

Been reading these forums for ages, so figured to post something aswell for once :-)

I found that these mobsLandlocked Grouper - NPC - World of Warcraft will also give you savage leather when skinned.

I went and tested out this spot, i also noticed this spot has a forced spawn between the 2 sides of the bridge. So there is _always_ mobs to kill.

This spot actually works a lot faster then the Menethil Harbour spot if you have a friend skinner doing the other side of the bridge, you will Always have a mob in range'ish to kill and few others to skin. Me and guildie were having problems managing to actually skin all the mobs we managed to kill.

Just confirmed it myself, had friend of mine test it with me.
You get Light Leather, Medium Leather, Savage Leather and Deepsea Scales from them.

edit your thread remove the mob location and have this moved to elite

Also there is small droprate chance for Pristine Hides, which is the Arctic Fur comparison from wotlk.
(Just had one drop)

wat lvl skinning do i need to do this? 450 (to get cata mats) or like 100 because they r lvl 22 mobs?

farmed with a level 62 skinner (355 skinning) with no problems, except the scarcity of mobs, and swimming is slow

After 1 hour on a dk I've got:
97 x Savage Leather
65 x Deepsea Scale
2 x Pristine Hide

Water walking and a ranged pull help for sure.

My guildie said there was a spot South-East side right next to Menethil where the sharks would spawn faster then he could kill hem.
