There is a quest in Thousand Needles called Mad Magus. For the quest you have to go steal someones soul and when you do you get a really cool looking aura. The effect stays if you don't turn in the quest, even persists through death. Tried to put up a screeny but can't figure it out.

A word of warning. DON'T DO THIS QUEST BY NOT GOING THROUGH THE PORTAL!

I did the same along with a friend cus we didn't realise, we just grabbed the quest without reading and ran there. If you don't go through the portal, the soul buff you get will not go away even uppon handing in the quest in, and there is no way to remove it. Killing yourself, or relogging will not work, you need to open a ticket.

Luckily I was on my lvl 41 alt and not my main grinding rep.

I agree with this guy.. it's a neat effect, whether you turn the quest in or not.

I found the questgiver, the troll next to that portal thing... but she doesnt give any quest... i check my 1k needles achievement and i have 0 quests done. I checked Wowhead but it looks like it isnt updated yet, finding quests that arent even on the site.

My buff stayed on me even after i handed the quest in.

Despite being supposedly hotfixed, I'm sitting with the buff in Dal, etc. just didn't turn the quest in to make sure i got to keep it.

I just said it was supposedly fixed, but I have it right now, and got the quest AFTER it was supposedly fixed. (9 minutes before you posted, in fact. )

I think this is only for Alliance cause you have to kill a NPC before the guy who start this quest appears (and you can only kill this NPC being ally)
