Hey!
Been messing around with Beacon of Light today and found out that you can put beacon on someone you duel or mind control and when the duel begins or mind control ends the beacon buff will dissapear and if you heal anyone (even yourself) the beacon will transfer the heal to you.

Does it last for the duration of Beacon, ie 5 mins? Or does it last forever. If so +rep.

Lasts for 5mins ye also when the duel ends the beacon starts healing the person you put it on again. Can't try it with mind control now since none of the priest mates are online atm, will update tomorrow with results.

Are you sure this is not Protector of the Innocent procing heals on yourself? If the buff is erased it seems stupid that it lasts for the rest of the duration without any indicators.

Beacon of Light has been partially "broken" for a while. Blizz said they fixed how it used to stay even when the buff wore off. I would assume it's that same mechanic that makes this work.

That or it could be that you are auto self casting and your target is invalid so it automatically heals you instead. Does it heal you 2 times when you self heal? If so is any of that healing Protector of the Innocent like Vixxi suggested?


@toothpaste PotI does proc from healing others though and he mentioned he healed others.
