Quest: Back to the pit - Killing the Bears faster as a DK

    Hello together,

today I've done the Daily-Quest "Back to the Pit" in Brunhildar. When I did this, I got an idea how to kill the bears faster. I've put my Death and Decay on the ground, when the enemys where friendly. Then I've mounted up on my bear and the enemys whrere attackable for me - Then my Death and Decay did Damage on them, with nearle 1k per Tick. (Tank-T10 ftw ).

So this is a good way to make much AE-Damage on the bears, to get fast through this quest.. And maybe fast to a nice mount. :>

Have fun with this.. It should work for Paladins, too. Just put Consecration on the ground, then mount on your polar bear and you can do additional damage on your enemys.

Disagree. This is about as much of an exploit as it gets.

GJ OP. Not too significant, but a find nevertheless

I don't quite call this an exploit. I can see how you could think that, but I mean, think about it.

Doing damage to an enemy target, I don't see the exploit in that, unless for some odd reason, you think the only possible way you can do damage is from the bear.

Not intended by Blizzard by doing this, but useful tip nonetheless.

    Quoting:
An exploit, in online games, is the use of a bug or design flaw by a player to their advantage in a manner not intended by the game's designers.

    Not intended? Check
    Provides advantage? Check

You had a good case until you said this, did you talk to a GM who said you weren't supposed to be able to damage the mob any other way?

I think it is an exploit, because the quest is intended to fight with the bear against other bears. You have only just 3 attacks for this quest, but with this exploit, you have a few more, like Death and Decay, Consecration.. etc.

Maybe it's not very useful, but for all the people which are doing the quest, it's a nice trick.

This is clearly 100% an exploit... it may not be a super epic one.. but it is certainly a useful way to get an objective done faster that was NOT intended by blizz. The quest causes the mobs to ONLY be attackable when you are on your bear... so im sure they had no intention of people doing damage to the mobs when not on a mount.

it is most definately an exploit-- I dont see how there is any disputing that.

    Nice post.. and +rep

Kinda similar to a post I made a while back, but gj if you found it yourself. (Damaging the bears with an ability that stays out even after you mount the vehicle)
