The only way I've been able too do this is too have a member of the opposing faction shoot me while I was getting on a wind rider. This made me enter combat , and stopped the flight of the WR before it started. Then I could control it , but after flying it around for a little while , it pathed underground , and then went too my destination.

the way i do it is by gathering a lot of lagg then when i get of my griffin turn on Speeder xp which instantly takes u to ur destination and if u have gotten enough lagg u may be able to control the creature P.S this has only workd once for me
