Looting While Mounting

Found this while grinding rep today that if you cast your mount then loot while its at about .5 or so seconds left till its casted you will be on your mount and get the loot.
so in other words
1. kill
2. mount
3. near end of mount cast time loot it
4. ?????
5. run off on your mount and profit

and imo this probably wasnt intended to happen by blizzard so i believe it is an exploit.

i've been doing this for ages, doesn't work with rivendare mount but works with my chopper :\

works with the undead mount for me hmm lemme test with hawstrider/ wolf / bear one sec

hawkstrider works bear works (black war bear) as does av wolf... what mount were u using xc4?

Have not tested it, but it should be easier to do with some lag? Winlag or something

edit: nvm, the purpose of this, is speeding things up, and using lag each time would just slow you down.. sorry

no you dont need lag for this u jus time it no lag is involved im guessing that near the end it thinks ur not casting while the mount is coming up and u loot when it comes up. so no u wont be slowed down by lag

I didnt say you needed lag, but if some had trouble with this, it will maybe be easier for them with lag. Cause if you click a little too late, you will just dismount.

Ok this may not be intended by blizz but in all honesty it is useless =/ kinda like some exploration bugs it might be a bit of fun but theres a dif section because they are useless =/ thanks for trying tho.

ya i see how you can say its useless but i dont believe that this will save time because of the fact that if u are killing things one by one by using this you can be on to your next one quicker

NOTE: I'm guessing on pretty much everything here.

It works on the lag between client and server. When you cast your mount it sends that data to the server that your mounted and the client modifies your speed, it has to send that data so you don't get banned for speed hacking by warden. When the time on your mount hits .5 or somewhere around there it's at the point where your client says mounted but the server says unmounted, thus allowing you to loot while mounted. The server controls the time it takes to cast though, which is why if you for example being moving at .5 it shows interrupted on your casting bar but your still mounted and moving faster. You still don't get banned because the data that your mounted was still sent just at a later period before the client could notice it was canceled. So that's what I believe is going on and that's why it works.
