[Bug] Glyph of Power Word: Shield proccing Focus Magic

While doing TotGC yesterday, I discovered this bug/exploit.

If a Priest with Glyph of Power Word: Shield puts a Shield on a player that has an Arcane Mage's Focus Magic buff and the glyph's heal crits, the mage is awarded Focus Magic's 3% Crit Chance even though the Priest crit (not the target).

Screenshot:
(You see the Glyph's heal crit in the combat log, and the targeted Mage gets the Focus Magic buff. Recount shows that there is only one mage in the raid.



TL;DR version:

1. Have your Mage put "Focus Magic" on a player
2. Put a glyphed PW:S on that player
3. If it crits, the mage gets 3% crit.
4. ???
5. Profit.

How is this useless?

It can be used to give a mage the crit buff for the first seconds of the fight while still having Focus Magic on a high-crit caster (Priests do have less crit than those most of the time).

it's useful if you wipe @25 heroic anub with 50 tries remaining at 1000 hp, 1 crit more = profit???

aw comeon this is saying that getting a buff 3 sec before you actually could get it would make a difference, why not just do a fireblast and hope for a crit?

cuz you see a belf on the screen wearing lock t8 chest buffed with a shield. or at least that's how I found out the class

Or, as a mage, I would simply put my Focus Magic on a Holy Paladin or another Fire Mage and always have the 3% Crit ? Sound easier that way.

A) Nope, it isn't. The priest doesn't have Focus Magic (the targe t has), still the mage gets buffed.
B) not useless either. See my post above.
C) Yup. Surely common sense. Or is it? I'd say it's not. Why should it be anyway? Why is everything common sense?
