Only thought that made me think that it was perhaps an "exploit" is that yeah you are using a hack to get to him but once engaged the door opens and remains opened regardless of the status of the other bosses in the zone. It's not like the whole party needs to use this method to get to him because once he's been tagged the door bugs and remains open (skipping the whole protect the dwarf part which can be a pain for some people).

If this belongs in guides or something and a mod wants to move it sounds great to me.
