I've alrdy posted this topic a two months ago, but you can do this when you aren't a Druid. If you can get past the Black Temple's barrier, you're also able to fly as high you want, because outland is surrounded by a sort of cube. If you're past the Black Temple's Barrier, you're also out the cube.

It's even possible to fly from Outland to the Draenei / BE lands, but once you're there, you'll get dismounted

EDIT: I'm not sure this barrier of the Black Temple is still there, since the Black Temple has been opened in the new patch.
