Nope, I just heard you needed to have 400 fishing to get Old Crafty, but I hear that is false.

Confirmed that this worked on live 11/10/08 (today) in Orgrimar by catching two Old Craftys in under 30 casts. Duplicated with friend. I didn't find the same results for IF, but its better to be in raid for the fishing because you will not catch the Baby Crocilisk which means you never have to delete it.

I think it's a little tricky with the botting You have to click the "Yes I really want to loot that BoP fish no one else can loot even if it becomes soulbound to me"-Button. And as long as your bot doesn't acknowledge the BoP dialogue you won't get the fish by botting

I also did this in the instanced version of Orgrimmar, on the questline that starts from the dragon in Dragonblight. (basically, it sends you to SW, the king sends you on a diplomatic visit to Thrall, in an instanced version of Orgrimmar, where all NPCs doesn't attack you.)
