I leveled my Paladin with my 70 Druid following her around just like this, expect you gotta make sure you claim everything early on, and if Thorns does around 30-40% of total damage it severely gimps the experience given. But with Consecrate spam and a Shield Spike, that rarely happened for me. It works, but unless you have alot of aoe damage source, its not worth the effort.

wownobody is reading this right sryioulsy if you kill a mob with thorns hes saying you dont get any xp...witch is weird...so if a lvl 70 just let mobs get down low health using thorns..no one is doing damage...so it iwll count as if a player hasent hit them...as in like around BT the mobs that fight each other if you kill one of them you still get full xp no matter if they are at 10% so if thorns really does no player damage and the druid dispelled thorns and the lowbie killed all the mobs low health or not hes get full xp...and for everyone saying fail stfu and gtfo
