Shaman Searing Totem Aggro Exploit

Say you have you totem out, and it starts to shoot a fireball at a mob.

"Oh Noes!" you say? I think not! Just recall your totem or put it out again (Respawn it basically) and viola! The fireball will hit the target, cause damage, but not get any aggro!

Of course, the mob will almost instantaneously regen it's health, so this is pretty much only good for getting out of having to fight.

To not fight a mob xD

It is an exploit because making the totem respawn / be recalled makes it where the target has nothing to be on it's hatelist. Even though in theory it should make you be on the hatelist because it was your totem.

Isn't there a cooldown on re-summoning the water elemental?

This is pretty much common sense, I never even use this useless totem anyway and I always recall my totems after a fight in a raid.

Yeah that's right. If you just let it shoot a waterball and then dismiss it, same effect as this will happen.

Erm, you don't get recall totems until what, 30?

And it is pretty much the ONLY fire totem to use until you get magma totem.

You can right click totems(in your unit frame) to cancel it, just like buffs... added in patch 2.4.

That doesn't do the same as recall does.

I never use my searing totem, but might as well use it for this =P
