Free mana spells for priests

A friend told me this and I'm not sure of this since i can,t get on my priest right now, so if anyone can confirm that would be great:

So the thing is that if you cast IF, then a spell with casting time followed by an instant cast, the two spells following the inner fire should be free. But you have to be quick on the instant cast though.

exemple: Cast IF, VT then cast a swp quickly and the Vt and swp are supposed to be free.

As I said it's a friend that told me this and I can,t confirm so don't flame plz
