This does not work for JC BoP gems, they will instantly bind the item to you when u put the epic gems in the item.

OK on the 10th of April I had the spellfire pants made for my s/priest. I sent them to my mage and bought a +12spell gem for 7k honor (unique-equipped) and slotted it...I ran the normal MgT completed the quest and grabbed the +12 spell dmg gem and slotted that also. The pants remained BoE =)) I sent it too my S/priest and profit.

Now Im going to try to find out whether I can buy another +12spell dmg gem for honor (unique-equipped) slot it into something crafted and see if I can actually bypass the unique factor because its already in said item before sending it to my priest.

This will not work with the jewelcrafting BoP gems. They cause the item to become soulbound.

Otherwise, the quest reward (Nightbane, Kael, and ZA) gems, as well as heroic BoP gems are great for this.
