Shade of Aran damage free exploit

Well this one should work. We have brought some alts to kara to get gear and went to aaran, but one of the 2 healers - shammy, stayed outside during the pull. As a result we wiped when adds came and the boss went for the healer outside. He was going out and in his room for like 5 min till able to kill said healer, while the healer alone ate 4% of his life dpsing him
I think aaran is perfectly doable 2 man this way

Aight, time to clear up some replies. Our guild has been able to kill Aran with no problem, and only did this when we are being lazy.

so once he comes through the door...does he cast fireballs,frostbolts or arcane missles?

Yessir, he sure does, and they're still interruptable if needed. BTW, he does the polymorph if his mana goes below his health... obviously if you're taking this long he will obviously polymorph you eventually.

This is a fake.
If the combat takes too long(And it will do with this tactic) Aran will berserk and summon adds, which do high AoE dmg...
Besides, Aran can shoot to anywhere in karazhan from his room... Same goes with the flame wreath(It reaches to anywhere, if the character is in combat)

Nope, not a fake, cause I've done it several times with them... now which adds are you talking about. The Elementals are handled as usual. His enrage spawns (shades of him), only attach those inside the room, we're all outside the room, so nothing touches us.

First off your guild has to be ****ing idiots to not be able to kill him.. He is the easiest boss in BT.. And any guild that can get past the first two bosses should be able to kill Shade..

So this is just dumb..

1st. Trying to do Shade of Aran? Aint he like the most easy boss ingame if you know tactics?

2nd. How can the melee dps do damage if they have to run all the way away in Fire?

3rd. It doesnt matter what way you run to, about its the top way or cross way or to the door, you still have to do it before he cast explosion.. else.. You die..

Not to be hard against you.

1. Yup, just bored and lazy
2. The Melee dps stays outside the door with everybody else, and attacks him when he comes out the door like everybody else. As long as there is no Flame Wreath, then theres no problem throwing some damage on him
3. You don't really have to worry about this, since you're never in his room, so you don't have to worry about Arcane Explosion, or Blizzard.

Don't know if it is worth all that effort. Aran's frostbolts etc are really easy, only hard things are eles and pyro. Wouldn't want to kill myself, if I can't avoid them

Someone I know in RL killed him this way a few weeks ago, and he said that it took far too long to be worth it instead of just running in and doing the fight normally. He was helping out a particularly bad guild at the time though, so player skill was severely lacking from most people involved.

This could be useful for trying to solo or duo Aran. Due to the time it takes however, definitely not worth it for a whole group to try. Nice find though.

hm aran is too easy to warrant prolonging the fight, but it is an exploit none-the-less
