This happens in ANY underground water, regardless of whether you're mounted or not (this can happen to you if you jump down a certain hole under SW, for example). You have a high chance of falling through the earth, and you stop "flying" once you get out of the water. I think this is rather useless, and well known.

If your a druid and go under shatt you can keep on shapeshifting and get under BT.

You can do it as any class you just have to avoid water.

Its a bit of both I guess. You can shoot people through the ground as long as you're in the water.

You're an idiot, everyone knows that all water bodies fill the vertical space underground. Zangarmarsh is filled with lakes. Go somewhere else and try the same trick.
