Well, one is likely free and closer to the original engine, the other is not.
Wintergrasp is a good example.

Not rude at all, questions always welcome. I suppose it's no different from various other private servers that are versions the same as the original game. It just so happens Blizzard is releasing a version again the same as my private server now. My ultimate conclusion was that WOTLK private servers would benefit from an official release of the same version. People will get bored, look up a private server at some point. The usual circle of life for private server gamers. What's different? Well there are many little things but I think the main thing people look for is higher rates, and the fact that you can play free. A question that I would think more viable would be what makes us different from other private servers, not the original game.

Blightfire is new and definitely lacking a lot of the features we will soon have. I just wanted to get things functional and online. From here on it's the users who decide what happens next. Suggestions are rolling in and features are being implemented. It's hard to start up in the beginning in terms of players questioning authenticity and long term stability but I'm confident and in no rush. We have a small team of developers that are patient, and dedicated. Patience and dedication is key!
