How to modify level requirements for some existing levels - WOTLK Trinitycore 3.3.5a

    Hi.

I know it's n00b question, but here goes:

How to modify the level requirements for some existing levels in WOTLK Trinitycore 3.3.5a?

I have a TrinityCore 3.3.5a repack up and running. All works fine. However, I would like to modify the level requirements for, Shadowmourne, for example, to be lvl 8 instead of 80.

I accessed the DB (world) and opened the table "item_template". Then modified the "RequiredLevel" column value from 80 to 8 and saved the changes (using Navicat). However, every time I use the command ".additem 49623" to add Shadowmourne to my inventory, the level requirements remain unchanged.

Is there something else I need to do as well?

    Please advise.

    Thank you.

Silly question, did you restart the server after making the change? And did you clear your cache in your WoW folder?

To modify the level requirements for Shadowmourne, for example, you will need to edit the source code of the ItemTemplate class in the item.cpp file and edit the appropriate line of code to change the required level from 80 to 8. Once you have made the change and recompiled the source, you should be able to modify the level requirements for Shadowmourne.

You may also need to edit the SQL query for the item in the database to ensure that the item is correctly marked as requiring level 8.
There is nothing in the emulator hardcoding item level requirements. It's all driven by database data.
