    Updating item on the DB

Went to try and update some item on the DB.
Pretty straight forward with the mysql workbench, and SQL is not an issue.

The issue is that after committing the changes in the DB and restarting the server, I add the item to my character and it's stats are unchanged.

What steps am I missing here?

Before you ask, I'm using the world DB, the item_template table.

On the worldserver.conf file be sure to set: DBC.EnforceItemAttributes = 0
Delete the cache folder in the client.

But still, editing the item won't show any change in game.

Supposedly it shouldn't be needed to create a patch for a simple edit on an existing item (for example changing the value of an existing attribute), but since I'm going nowhere, I suppose its faster to query the DB for all the items I want to edit (I am not thinking of creating new ones, but editing existing ones to scale with level without being heirlooms) and make a damn patch with them.

If anyone has a better idea, I would appreciate it.

    Conclusion:
    - for simple properties like strength and stamina, SQL is enough.

    But after editing the properties:
    - completely shut down your client.
    - delete the client cache folder
    - kill your server process
    - restart the server processes
    - restart the client
    - use the .additem ### command to check the item you edited (you should see the changes)

After a while, it worked for me.
I was logging out and back in so the cache was always being written with what the client had in its memory (in my case the unedited item).
