Modify spell damage something work something fail : why ?
Hi,
I am looking to change the damage of the spells. Often it works but some spell does not work. I open the spell_template database and change the effectBasepoint column (1,2 or 3). For example the spell ID 19780 (mob 12098 use it) that does not work and I have some spell with the same problem, I do not understand why because it's right for lot of spell.
Ps : I emulate a repack 1.12 server with mangos and sorry for my bad english i hope you undersand my topic.
Thanks for your answer.

Maybe it is using the spell.dbc data.

I also try to change it in spell.dbc and it's fail.
In game when I write .spell effects 19780 I don't get the numbers wich writte in my Database (spell_template or spell)
I continu to search

Another thing, with this spell (ID 19780) In spell_template.dbc and in spel.dbc I find :
Effect1= 6
EffectBasePoints1= 0
Effect2= 98
EffectBasePoints2= 74
Effect3= 2
EffectBasePoints3= 299
and in game when I write .spell effects 19780 I found
Effect0= 98
EffectBasePoints0= 74
Effect1= 2
EffectBasePoints1= 299
Effect2= 6
EffectBasePoints3= 0
So I think, like you say it don't use spell_template.dbc or spell.dbc but how i can find this spell in my database ?
Edit : I found it in Spell_effect_mod database and it's ok. What is this database ... I don't know but it works.
Thanks
