    3.3.5a TrinityCore Spell given as quest reward.

    Hello, I am currently attempting to make a quest where the reward would be that the player learns an ability, for instance, on completion of the quest the player would permanently learn Frostbolt.

    I am unsure if this is currently possible with TrinityCore, so I wanted to ask how it would be performed.

    I am currently able to create quests via TrinityCreator, but the creator has not made it possible to add multiple Spell ID's to a Quest, and adding Frostbolt in this way would just cause Frostbolt to be cast at the player.

    From my understanding, the quest must be given 2 spell ID's:

    - The "learning spell" which the NPC will use to teach the spell (483)
    - The actual "spell to be learned" itself, Frostbolt (116)

    Any assistance would be appreciated as I am new to TrinityCore.

    RewardSpell
    Spell that is shown to be casted on quest completion in the quest log. Note that this spell will NOT be casted if RewardSpellCast is non-zero. The spell in the other field will be casted instead, in which case the spell here only serves as the visual in the quest log.

    RewardSpellCast
    Spell that will always be casted at player when completing the quest. This can be learn spell and player learned some spell in result, or buff spell, for example. If this field is non-zero then this spell will ALWAYS be casted and the spell in RewardSpell will not.
    None of the fields in the database support this. You could write a script that hooks quest complete, checks the quest id, and rewards the spell. But this requires some programming knowledge. There is probably a DB way to do it with smart scripts or whatever TC supports these days. I haven't done any WoW emu in a while.

    Isn't this what I'm trying to do though?

    [edit] did a workaround, I made a quest reward a soulbound book for custom currency that teaches Frostbolt.

    Awesome, workarounds are often easier if you want the end result fast. Yeah I didn't read that last part of the sentence, looks like it might do what you want. But you would have to experiment some more with it to see how it behaves.
