Hello! I'm using the 3.3.5 Single Player Project repack.
In the database, using heidisql, I created a new npc. I spawned that npc in the world with no issue. Let's say the creature entryid is 912345.
I then went back into heidisql and, in creature_loot_template, created a new entry id, 912345. I added item 40265 into the item field, set the dropchance to 100, and min / max to 1 on both.
I then went to the creature entry and added the loot id, 912345, to the Lootid field under my creature.
When I kill the creature in-game, no item drops.
That's the core issue, here's some more notes of what I've tried.
So, curious, I decided to modify the creature_loot_template of another creature. I chose creature 38, the Defias Thug in Northshire. I added a new entry 38, added item 40265 and all the same stuff from my custom loot id, and then killed a Defias Thug in game. The item dropped.
Curious, I added lootid 38 to my custom creature. The creature dropped the same stuff a defias thug would.
So it seems that new custom entries I make in Creature_Loot_Template do not work and I'm not sure why?
UPDATE: I'm not sure what changed but after screwing around with server restarts and numbers, items are dropping now.
