Changing BfA realmlist/IP adresse

Hello folks,

so this has nothing really to do with BfA, but i think its somehow the same thing.

I played classic on a private server for a while and played the demo too, now i had the thought that it must be possible to play on the classic server i play on with the Demo textures. So the files in both WoW BfA and Classic Demo seem to be the same and maybe the knowledge about the list/connection path too, so i wanted to ask if there is any way of changing the IP adresse from Blizz to my servers in these files. I tried finding the adresse myself in any data with Notepad++ but i had no luck and found nothing on google either. Can you help me guys or is that an impossible thing to do?

Also i saw a video on youtube (thats not viewable anymore, at least in my country) in which someone played already the demo before they opened the servers, so how did he do that if that wouldnt work?

You can't play on a 1.12 vanilla server with the 1.13 classic client. They are absolutely incompatible. The demo client is built upon on Legion 7.3.5, so it does not communicate with the server in the same way as the 2006 client did. There is a sandbox server for the classic demo by arctium that lets you run around and explore the world, but you can't do anything else there.
