help creating a private server

I'm looking for help for private server from the ground up. I used do it mods for diablo 1 and wanting to back into modding.

I'd like to get a full run down on the terms and programs.
what programs and database do all of you personally use?

if any of you would volunteer to help me completely

Generally speaking the most recommended setup would be for running a server:
TrinityCore (Self-Compiled, not a repack)
TDB (Trinity Database)
WoW 3.3.5 Client (Wrath Of The Lich King)

Mind you, when I say "Generally speaking", what I mean is, different cores and branches all come down the users needs. The recommended set-up I listed is to get a server as close to blizzlike as possible.
