is it possible to cheat a private servers vote system?

hi,

i think most of you know what i mean
some private servers got a donation system which is linked to voting pages like wowstatus
if you vote for them you get some points which you can spend on ingame items as reward
these voting pages have a 12 hour lock so you can only vote every 12 hours
my question now is if its possible to avoid this 12 hour lock to be able to vote and vote again for
much more points in less time
my first idea was to use simple proxy servers and clearing cookies and stuff but it didnt work

so anybody got an idea how that could work?

Yes Its possible, however some systems are more secure than others.
Use the search function, Ive seen a few different ways of exploiting/hacking vote and donations systems here on ownedcore.
