is there a big noob guide how to set up a pre tbc private server with a good core? i know im a noob and people here may not take kindly to that but this is something i really want to do. first its just going to be me and once im comfortable ill actually buy a server to host it.

i know on youtube and google theres tons of guides but not really any how to set it up for a pre tbc server. i seriously appreciate any help! thank you

also, im not retarded.. just a good guide would be nice. i dont need anything custom

Are you trying to compile it through a mangos or trinity core?

im not even sure which is best, i know the Wrath server 100% blizzlike is trinity and im going to be like 90% blizzlike. im just trying to find a good spot to get started :/ thanks for reply though

He's not even sure where to get started, what makes you so sure he'll be able to compile a core?
Go with MangosZero as their still updating their core daily, while TrinityZero has stopped a while back.

Those two links should point you to the correct direction, link to a precompiled MangosZero core put into a repack. Also the second link is a guide to making your server public.

ok. pre TBC is downloaded, and i downloaded that core. that guide is to get it online im not even sure how to MAKE the server.

the actual guide for making your server doesn't seem to work good. one of the links even sends me to a banking/savings website.... still thank you
